What Do They Do?
Promote awareness of the library's programs and services.
Provide direct financial assistance to purchase new equipment and materials and fund special programs for adults and children.
Provide volunteer assistance for library programs and special events.
Raise funds through annual projects.

The General Federation of Women's Clubs is the largest and the oldest non-denominational, non-partisan, international service organization of the volunteer women in the world. 1990 marked the centennial year of the federation.
Ongoing projects include: Girlstown Foundation, Veterans Hospital, Day in the Country, Adopt a Teacher Program, Plant Sale, Bake Sale, and Christmas party.
We also assist the Orion Township Public Library, Historical Society, and the Orion/Oxford Boys and Girls Club when requested. |

MOPS International, or Mothers of Preschoolers is for YOU. We learn about becoming better women and mothers. We eat breakfast, talk, make a craft, and discuss issues of young motherhood in small groups. All women are welcome regardless of religious beliefs, age, race, or economic or marital status. The only requirement is having children age birth-kindergarten. During meetings, MOPPETS is the program for the children. Volunteers care for the children while moms get a much-needed break! Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month, September-May, from 9:00 am-11:30 am. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1950 S. Baldwin, Lake Orion. Call 248-391-1170 for more information. |

We are a non-profit weight support group that encourages daily awareness of food and drink in accordance with an individual weight chart. We meet weekly. TOPS, "take off pounds sensibly" is non-profit and is an International organization. The fees are $14.00 a month, thus making it possible for most people to afford the meetings. There is a $20.00 annual membership fee. TOPS is a very successful program and really cares to help you lose weight and reach your goals. |
