Michigan's Arson Prevention Committee is a divergent group of concerned and dedicated individuals with a strong commitment to taking affirmative action in controlling the arson problem in this state. Our objectives of this program are to encourage persons and/or reluctant witnesses with information regarding an arson to report it to "Arson Control" or the investigating authorities, to act as a deterrent to stop or prevent arson and to consider requests for monetary rewards for up to $5,000 to individuals in cases where the reward program was instrumental in gaining important information. |

The General Federation of Women's Clubs is the largest and the oldest non-denominational, non-partisan, international service organization of the volunteer women in the world. 1990 marked the centennial year of the federation.
Ongoing projects include: Girlstown Foundation, Veterans Hospital, Day in the Country, Adopt a Teacher Program, Plant Sale, Bake Sale, and Christmas party.
We also assist the Orion Township Public Library, Historical Society, and the Orion/Oxford Boys and Girls Club when requested. |

Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by Michigan State University Extension to provide an effective network of gardening programs and activities to enhance their communities. Volunteers participate in a 13 week training program each fall/winter. Volunteers then provide 40 hours of community service gardening education.
Master Composters are volunteers trained by Michigan State University Extension. Volunteers participate in a 6 week training program each fall/winter. Volunteers then provide 15 hours of community service gardening education. |

MGSP is a cooperative effort designed to reduce risks of groundwater contamination associated with the use of pesticides and nitrogen fertilizers. MGSP is voluntary, locally driven and designed to address the concerns of individuals by maintaining a focus on the financial and technical constraints which drive real world decisions. The program is funded through fees that are assessed on sales of pesticides and nitrogen fertilizers. |
